About this tour

Sri Lanka has enough to keep even the most bored traveller captivated. Itinerary

Day 1: Start from Colombo BIA.

The group flight lands at the Colombo Bandaranaike Airport and transfers to our hotel in Wattala on the coastline. The remainder days are yours to relax in the hotel and recuperate after the trip. Those not Traveling with the group will meet us on the way to our hotel. 

Day 2: Game drives close to Giritale to view elephants

Today, we head to Giritale and will make a stop at one of three parks, either Kaudulla or the Giritale Minneriya National Park, for a game drive. We will use jeeps to explore in the park to observe the elephants in their natural habitat. Then we continue to Giritale, where we Stay for the night. The hotel is situated right next to the Giritale Tanks, which is where the island's first inhabitants worked out The dual issue of lack of heat and water in this area by building these huge tanks that can serve as reservoirs and assist in cooling the air.

Day 3: Cycling excursion up to Dambalawewa Lake

Day 4: Polonnaruwa in Sigiriya

There are vibrant, well-maintained caves. Of the paintings and statues that have been preserved of the Buddha inside, a few are as early as the 1st Century BC. Kandy is situated on a small lake. We can spend a lot of time in the area in the vicinity of the town. It is worth visiting Kandy's Temple of the Tooth, which houses Sri Lanka's most valuable Buddhist treasure. It is the Tooth of Buddha, which was removed from the funeral altar at the time of 543 BC and was only discovered on its route through Sri Lanka in the 4th century AD. We will drive to a gorgeous spot to enjoy a stunning perspective of Kandy and the surrounding area, which are obscured by a massive Buddha, and visit a museum to see the items produced by the old techniques of extracting gems. In the evening, we could be able to see an athletic performance, Kandian dancing and fire walking.

Day 7: To Colombo via Peradeniya Botanical Gardens

An early departure for Colombo because the journey takes about 4 hours. We will stop on the way at the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, with its many varieties of orchids that are native to Sri Lanka. The lunch stop will be the traditional Sri Lankan rice and curry. Arriving in Colombo, our walking tour begins with Colombo's Galle Face Green area, focussing on the colonial architecture of Colombo. It covers the old Parliament, the Old Fort City area, and The Old Dutch Hospital. There will be time for exploring the market before heading back to the hotel for a quick get ready. In the evening, there will be a farewell meal at a seafood restaurant located in the Mt Lavinia area.

8. Day: The journey is over after breakfast.

The trip concludes with breakfast. Participants on group flights will be transferred to the airport in time to catch their flight back home.
